Born from a family’s love of lakeside gatherings, The Gathering Place has grown from a cherished log home into Western Pennsylvania’s premier rustic wedding venue. Our Amish craftsmen have created an architectural masterpiece using Montana lodge pole pine, while floor-to-ceiling glass walls invite the beauty of Darlington Lake inside. Here, rustic charm meets contemporary elegance in a setting that feels both grand and intimately welcoming.

Our stunning timber-frame reception hall showcases the natural beauty of hand-peeled Montana pine logs while offering modern versatility. Three sides of sliding glass walls can be opened completely for an open-air celebration or closed to create a cozy atmosphere. The thoughtfully designed space includes a built-in dance floor and accommodates up to 220 guests, with strategic layout ensuring everyone feels part of the celebration.

Your Getting Ready Retreat
Start your wedding day in style at our fully-appointed bridal cabin. Located steps from the main venue, this luxurious space features a dedicated salon area for hair and makeup, comfortable lounging spaces, and picturesque views of Darlington Lake. Arrive as early as 9 AM to enjoy mimosas with your bridal party while taking in the peaceful morning views from the cabin’s prime lakefront location.
