My husband and I just got married this past weekend after having to delay our May wedding due to the unprecedented times and just about the only thing that was consistent throughout our wedding process was Annie and Ed. Our engagement was over 2 years long and we must have sent hundreds of emails to Annie, only to be responded to within hours or even minutes every single time. Words cannot express the beauty of this venue as it is truly breathtaking. The Gathering Place uses an exclusive caterer Medure’s, which dozens of our guests claimed it was the best wedding food they’ve ever tasted. Finally, my husband and I are devoted Christians and we both felt a very warm presence of God each time we stepped foot on this venue. The only part we will regret, is no longer working with Annie and Ed as they are truly a pleasure to work with! There is no venue in Western PA like The Gathering Place!

My husband Justin and I got married here on August 1, 2020. It was absolutely amazing. As many know we were a covid couple trying to follow through with all our dreams. Through all these months of uncertainty Annie and Jodie were in constant communication with me. They never once made me worry that our dreams weren’t going to come true! I viewed the venue August of 2019 and IMMEDIATELY signed the contract because I loved the atmosphere and honestly Annie and Ed (owners) we’re nothing short of amazing. The love they put into the venue and every single wedding is absolutely perfect! I decided to hire Jodie from event 143 to do all the decorations and let me tell you she went above and beyond my expectations! The day came to finally marry my best friend and it rained. Pretty much all day. All three, Ed, Annie, and Jodie were on stand by to see if I could have my wedding outside in front of the lake or inside. I chose to do inside so I didn’t risk anyone get rained on and it absolutely was perfect! With the main part of the venue being able to fold up three of the walls (glass doors) we were able to still get a breeze and was still considered outdoor (covid remember). I can not thank Annie, Ed, and Jodie for all the love they put into Justin and I special day. From setting up everything perfectly, to hiding me in the cabin for our first look, to making sure we all walked at the right time and hiding me from guest before hand, to the clean up and having everything packed up for us! I recommend this venue 1000% over and over! Thank you Annie, Ed, and Jodie for all the love !
The Gathering Place at Darlington Lake. The first and only venue we went to look at. It was a dream!! Annie and Ed are amazing people who put all their time and energy to make your day nothing less than perfect. They have every detail covered! Events 143 is the coordinating service their daughter Jodie runs whom you can hire separately to make your whole entire day seamless! We didn’t have to worry about a thing because Jodie and Annie had it taken care of! It was the most perfect day and we couldn’t have been more blessed to pick the most beautiful place to have our wedding! Highly recommend!!
The Gathering Place makes a bride’s perfect wedding dream come true. The place itself is magical, overlooking the entire lake. The Knott family are very helpful, respectful and easy to work with. They are also very quick to respond when you have a question. No one wants the stress of a wedding with all this COVID stuff going on, but the Knott family honestly eased all of our worries and helped us still have our dream wedding.
Annie from the gathering place is the absolute best. With planning a wedding during a global pandemic she eased my fears and always kept me calm when I was panicking with unknown circumstances. I would recommend this venue time and time again.
